           OBITUARY
   Sarah Manda Shopbell Mote was born in Allen county, Ohio, Sept. 2nd 1849 and died
Feb. 14, 1912.  She 
moved with her parents to Michigan in June 1864 and was married in 1872 to David
Anderson Mote her age 
was 62 years 5 months and 12 days; was taken into the Brethren church in 1871 and
lived a consecrated 
christian life up to her death she was a kind and affectionate mother and loved by
all who knew her.
   She was a sufferer for 16 years and is survived by a husband and four children;
Mrs. Frank Mosey of Lake 
Odessa, Mrs. Elmer Stocker of Charlevoix, Mrs. Geo. Wilcox of Battle Creek, Andrew
Mote of Lansing and 
three grandchildren, one sister, two brothers and a host of sorrowing friends. 
Funeral taking place Friday at 
the old M. E. church.  Rev. Winey preaching the sermon and burial took place at
Lakeside cemetery.

assisted us in the sickness
