Lake Odessa Wave - Friday March 3, 1905

MRS.DAVID MOTE Sr.

Mrs. David Mote Sr., quietly passed away, after an illness, at the home of her 
daughter Mrs. M.J. Tobias, Thursday, Feb. 23. She was born in Ohio in 1822 and 
married David Mote. who preceded her to the great beyond about two years ago in 
1841. In 1868, she with her husband, came to Michigan settling in Campbell, 
where they resided until their death. 

Deceased was a devoted Christian lady, a member of the German Baptist Church, 
and was loved by all who knew her. At the time of her death, she had reached the 
ripe old age of 82 yrs, 5 mo., and 22 days. The remains were interred in 
Campbell cemetery Sunday, Feb.26, after services at the Thornapple church, which 
were conducted by Rev. Isaac Raraigh, of Lake Odessa. The bereaved relatives 
have the sympathy of their many friends in this hour of affliction.
