The funeral took place at the Baptist church, on Sunday forenoon, and was largely attended. The sermon was preached in German by the Rev. George Cutler, a local minister of the German Evangelical church, and is highly spoken of by those of that nationality. Mr. Motzer was a member of the Arbeiter-Unterstutzungs Verein, recently organized here, and the members attended in a body, together with a large representation of the employees of the repair shops, the procession being led by the City Band. Mr. Motzer leaves a wife and seven children, the youngest about five months old. We understand that he leaves a home for them which is unencumbered, but not much beside. Nearly a hundred dollars have been raised for the benefit of the family by contributions from the employees in the shops and the local officers of the railroad company.
