Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 30 Jul 1963

Funeral service for George Motzer, 85, of 407 Rice Street, was held Monday at 2
p.m. at Myers funeral home.  He died at Belding Community hospital Saturday
afternoon.  The Rev. Ray R. Fassett pastor of Zion Evangelical United Brethren
church, officiated and interment was in the family lot at Oak Hill cemetery. 
Bearers were John Gates, Orin Schmidt, Homer Mann, Herman Lemke, Raymond Moulton
and William Vaughn.  Attending from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. William Vaughn
and family of Lansing.

[Transcriber’s note:  There is a notation on the obituary card that he was the
son of Frederick and Johanna (Shelling) Motzer, Sr.]
