REV. ISAAC MOURER PASSES AWAY WEDNESDAY

One of the Widest Known Men of this Vicinity. A Pioneer Preacher of Wide 
Experience, Revered and Respected by All.

Rev. Isaac Mourer, one of the oldest ministers of the country and one of the 
best known men of this vicinity died at his home Wednesday afternoon at 5 
o’clock.

Mr. Mourer suffered a stroke of paralysis a few weeks ago and has been 
suffering since, until he passed to his Heavenly home Wednesday for which he 
has long been prepared.

Mr. Mourer had p reached more funeral sermons and married more couples than any 
other minister ever in Lake Odessa it is safe to say. 

He was a happy congenial man, always meeting his friends and acquaintances with 
a smile and a friendly greeting.

He was a lover of fishing as a pastime and always mingled good with his 
pleasures.

There is not a resident of the village or vicinity but what will keenly feel 
the loss of his presence

The funeral will be held at the Calvary U.B. Church Saturday afternoon at 1:30, 
the church of his choice although he could worship with any denomination in 
town, and has served funerals in every church in town.

Words can never express the good this man has been to his family and friends, 
as they have been guided so long by his councils. Everything that loving hands 
could do has been done for him to make his last days comfortable which shows 
how much his children and grandchildren revere
