Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 8 Apr 1963

Lake Odessa – Mrs. Lulu Mourer, 92, lifelong resident, died at 10:50 p.m.
Saturday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. R.B. Cook of Lake Odessa, after
several weeks illness.  She was born January 6, 1871 in Odessa township the
daughter of Philip and Martha Green Wachs, and was married November 11, 1890 to
Bert Mourer.  He died in 1938, also a daughter ElRita Shroll in 1957.

Mrs. Mourer was a life member of Evangelical United Brethren church of Lake
Odessa and was an active worker in the church and its societies.  She was a
Sunday school teacher many years.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Cook of Lake Odessa, one son, Ogle Mourer
of Lansing; two grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be conducted at Pickens funeral chapel in Lake Odessa
Wednesday at 1:30 p.m.  The Rev. Chester Turner of EUB church will officiate and
interment will be at Lakeside cemetery.
