Her early years were spent with her parents, Mr and Mrs Z.T. Norcutt in Campbell, where she attended school in the Mill District and also at the Clarksville Academy. In the year of 1896 she first found Jesus as her Savior in a small revival meeting held by Rev. Chas. L. Bradley at the old West Odessa U.B. church. She was baptized soon after by Rev. I. Mourer, with whom she was afterward closely related in life. On Dec. 1, 1901, she was united in marriage to Chas.C. Mourer by Rev. I.H. Mourer, the groom's grandfather. To this union has been born six children, Clio, Hazelle, Viverne, Dillen, Wayne and Paul. On feb. 23, 1913 she again bowed at the alter in the Liberal U.B. church and renewed her covenant with Jesus; her husband also that night surrendering to the Lord Jesus Christ. From this time forward followed a life of service to her Lord and Master, both as a mother and a minister's wife. In 1917 she began to be afflicted with a serious case of goitre, and in addition to several anointing for Divine Healing has sought for help among various surgeons of the land. In April 1921 she, accompanied by her husband, went to Rochester, Minn, where she received ligations and returned July 2, to her last earthly home on the old Mourer farm, to which the family moved immediately upon her return. She having greatly improved in the meantime, again departed to Rochester, Minn., for the final operation the night of October 28, in high hopes of a speedy recovery. She underwent a successful operation Monday forenoon, Nov. 14, and seemed very hopeful. But a complications set in, in which the tissues of the neck and trachea became swollen and inflamed and as a consequence,, on Tuesday forenoon at 11:00 o'clock a chocking fit caused her heart to fail and instant death ensued. She was a precious wife, a dear Christian mother and was sweetly resigned to Jesus' will. A letter was found, written in her last hours in which she exhorted her "children to meet her in the "Glory World" should they never see her again. She leaves behind a husband, six children, a father, mother, one sister and three brothers, besides many other relatives and in addition a host of friends in Michigan and in Rochester, Minn. We shall miss you, precious girl, but by the grace of God, we shall meet you again at the"Marriage of the Lamb, never to part again." Funeral services were held at the Calvary U.B. church in Lake Odessa, on Sunday forenoon, Nov. 20. Rev.M.F. Early, assisted by several brethren of the Michigan conference officiated, using "Death, and the Resurrection" as his subject. Many were the floral contributions, and large was the concourse of people which gathered to pay their last respects to the deceased. Burial was made in Lakeside Cemetery. CARD OF THANKS We, the undersigned, desire hereby to express our heart-felt gratitude to those who so kindly assisted us in the sickness, death and burial of our beloved Anna. Chas. C.
