Lake Odessa Wave - June 28, 1945
          MRS. LEWIS MOURER DIED JUNE 21
   Mrs. Lewis Mourer, nee Jessie Williams, was born in Carlton township, Barry
county, August 6, 1871, and 
passed away from a cerebral hemorrhage at the Port Huron General hospital June 21,
1945.
   Reared and educated in Ionia county, she taught school from 1889 till 1893.  She
was married to Lewis 
Mourer of Campbell township February 12, 1891.  He died January 21, 1941.
   In 1898 she moved to a farm at Blanchard where she resided until her death.  She
is survived by three 
children, Mrs. Clarence Parker at Port Sanilac, Mich., Mrs. Frederick Blackmore in
New York city, and Royal 
Mourer at Elizabeth, N.J., a half brother Howard Cooley in Texas, and a
stepo-obrother Alvin Cooley in 
Lansing.
   Funeral services were held at the Wortley & Baine chapel here Saturday afternoon,
and burial was in 
Lakeside cemetery.
