ANNA E. MOURER DIED LAST THURSDAY AFTERNOON Mrs. Anna E.Mourer, 79, widow of the Rev.Isaac H.Mourer, passed away at the Lake Odessa hospital early Thursday afternoon of last week following an illness of only a few days. Mrs.Mourer had enjoyed unusually good health during the past summer and fall. However, on Monday she was taken ill with intestinal influenza at her home here. Her brother George Enz was notified of her illness and he came and took her to his home in Woodland township where he and Mrs. Enz could the better care for her. Following the doctor's advice on Wednesday she was brought to the local hospital. The funeral was held from Calvary U.B.Church on Sunday afternoon, Rev. Samuel S.Cox, the pastor, being in charge.B urial was made in Lakeside Cemetery. Mrs.Mourer her home in Lake Odessa for over 15 years.Her Obituary follows: OBITUARY Mrs.Anna E. Mourer, oldest daughter of John and Elizabeth Enz, was born in Woodland township, July 19, 1859, and departed this life December 1, 1938, at the age of 79 years, four months and 12 days. On December 31, 1882 she was married to Alvin Race of Lowell township, where she lived until the death of her husband in May, 1918. The following fall she moved to her home in Lake Odessa where she has since resided. In May 1923 she was united in marriage to the Rev.I.H.Mourer, who preceded her in death in November 1924. She was converted in 1884 and has always enjoyed the regular church services except when sickness kept her away. Her sister Sarah passed away twenty years ago. She leaves to mourn their loss one brother and sister-in-law Mr and Mrs George Enz, three nephews and five nieces, Leland and Pauline Enz, Mr and Mrs Ford Enz and Annabelle, Mr and Mrs Carl Enz and Carlene, and a number of relatives and friends.
