Mueller died Monday evening at 5:30 at his home on North Jefferson street. He was 75 years old and one of Ionia’s oldest German residents. Born in Auerosa, Pomerania, Germany in 1841, he came to Ionia 35 years ago, and had lived here ever since. For many years he was a mason by trade, and was held in a position of esteem and respect in the community in which he lived. He was always an active member of the German Lutheran church, where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 o’clock, preceded by services at the residence at 1:30 Rev. H.B. Succop officiating. Interment in Highland Park. Deceased is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Carl Bielow, with whom he made his home, and Mrs. Wm. Speckin of Ionia township, a son, Fred, who is in the west; one brother, Henry Miller of Prairie Creek, and a sister, Mrs. Fred Ruback of North Jackson street. A son, Frank Mueller, died three months ago in Saginaw. There are also 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
