Mulford, 36, of 29806 Ailanthus St., Flat Rock, formerly of Lake Odessa and Woodland, passed away Thursday morning at his residence. He was born March 1, 1946 in Lansing, to Jesse and Mary (King) Mulford. He graduated from Lakewood High School in 1964. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He married Jean Goodemoot December 5, 1970 in Lake Odessa. He was a charter pilot for Grosse Ile flight service in Grosse Ile, Michigan. He attended the First United Methodist Church in Flat Rock. He is survived by his wife, Jean; one daughter, Melissa, and a son, Robert, both at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Mulford, of Woodland; his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Nancy Mulford of Crystal; his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Dorothy King of Lake Odessa; and three sisters, Mrs. Steven (Diane) Barnum of Woodland, Mrs. Charles (Debbie) Vroman of Lake Odessa; and Mrs. Janice Strazisar of Hastings; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the Pickens-Koops Funeral Chapel in Lake Odessa with Rev. John Hinkle of Flat Rock First United Methodist Church officiating.
