Aug. 30, 1951 Former Resident Dies On August 19 At San Diego Calif. Phil J. Mulligan, 74, died on August 19, at San Diego, due to a heart attack. He was born at Portland on May 24, 1877 and was the son of Daniel J. and Sarah Bryden Mulligan. He was a Spanish-American war veteran, belonging to Schaumkessel Camp No. 10, United Spanish War Veterans, Waseca, Minn. He was also a member of the B.P.O. Elks at Owatonna, Minn. Surviving are one brother, Joseph L., San Diego, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Borque, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Mrs. Sarah Matthison, Minneapolis, Minn. The body was at the Goodbody Mortuary, in San Diego and the funeral was held on Friday, August 24, from Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Burial was in Rosecranz National Cemetery, San Diego.
