Ionia Sentinel Standard, 19 Mar 1977

Mrs. Marie Mulnix, 72, of 237 South Higbee, died in Ionia Manor after a long
illness.  Born in Ionia township, February 18, 1905, she was a daughter of William
and Jessie Steele.  She attended Spaulding school and married Leroy Mulnix in 1924. 
He preceded her in death in 1958.

Surviving are four sons: Floyd of Saranac, Don, Larry and Dale of Lyons and Gerald
of Ionia.  Also surviving are three daughters: Mrs. Harold Werner of Portland, Mrs.
Carl Fox of Pewamo, and Mrs. Clarence Irrer of Ionia; a brother, Arthur Steele of
Portsmouth, Virginia; a sister, Mrs. Doris Smith of Sidney; 4 grandchildren and
eleven great-grandchildren.

Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. from Hull Memorial chapel in Muir, the Rev.
Richard Harrison of Lyons Baptist church officiating.  Burial is in Muir cemetery. 
Contributions to the diabetic association may be left at the funeral home.
