Ionia Sentinel - 19 September 1985
Gertrude Peschke Mundt, 73, of Ionia died Wednesday at Belding Christian Nursing 
Home after an extended illness.  She was born in Detroit No. 16, 1912, the 
daughter of Carl and Lena Foster Peschke.  She attended Detroit schools and 
graduated from the University of Michigan in 1934.  She was married to Stanley 
Mundt; he preceded her in death in 1983.  She was a charter member of Ionia 
Antlerettes, affiliated with the Ionia Elks Lodge, No. 548 and was a member of 
the Silver Guild of the Ionia County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.

Surviving are a son, Dorrance Hurlbut of Ionia a daughter, Mrs. Gary (Gretchen) 
Bensinger of Alpena four grandchildren and one great grandchild; and a sister, 
Eleanor Lillie.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 3 pm from the Montgomery Leddick Funeral 
home, with the Rev. F.Michael Valentine of Ionia First Christian Church 
officiating.  Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.  The family will be at 
the funeral home Thursday from 7 to 9 pm and Friday from 7 to 9 pm.

A memorial for the Silver Guild of hospital auxiliary has been established, in 
care of the funeral Home.
