Ionia Sentinel-Standard
Stanley T. Mundt, 78, of 132 W. Lytle St., Ionia died Tuesday morning at the 
Ionia County Memorial Hospital.  He was born July 28, 1904 in Hart, the son of 
William and Mable Richardson Mundt.  He was married, July 25, 1953, in Ionia to 
Gertrude Peschke Hurlbut.  He was a membere of the Michigan State Police in 
Jonesville for 8 years and an employee of the Ionia County Road Commission.  He 
retired in 1967.  He was a member of the Ionia Elks Lodge No. 548.

He is survived by his wife Gertrude; one son, Dorrance Hurlbut of Ionia; one 
daughter, Mrs. Gary (Gretchen) Bensinger of Alpena; one brother, Robert of 
Traverse City; one sister, Mrs. Lloyd (Esther) Hevel of Traverse City and four 
grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 pm at the Myers-Roetman Funeral 
Home, with the Rev. Ron Dow officiating.  Burial will be in Sunset Memorial 
Gardens.  The family will be at the funeral home Wednesday from 7 to 9 pm.  The 
family requests memorials be made to the charity or organization of choice.
