The Ionia Standard, Friday, February 17, 1882

Mrs. S. W. Mundy, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Freeman, died from 
consumption Saturday morning.  The funeral took pace at the family residence 
on the state road three miles north of this city, Rev. Jas. Lamb preaching the 
sermon.  The deceased was well known in this community, and her unfortunate 
death so soon after her marriage has drawn forth many sincere expressions of 
sympathy.
