He was united in marriage with Miss Josephine Gunn; to them were born three children: Daniel Munger, of this city and Mary Munger of Clarksville, a daughter having preceded in death. He was left a widower and was again married to Miss Florence Smith on Jan. 1, 1890; to this union five children were born, all of whom survive. Mr. Munger has lived in this community the greater part of his life and was known among a large circle of friends. He was a member of the I.O.O.F., William Borden Post No. 211 and Ionia Lodge No. 36, Masons all of which were largely represented to pay their last tribute of respect to a fellow citizen and Brother. He was also formally a member of the M.E. church and during his last sickness was conscious of the sustaining help of God. An affectionate address was given by the Rev. W.R. Currier of the Evangelical church based upon the words of Christ found in Mark 13:37. Thus falls another of our respected citizens, a good neighbor and kind to all who knew him. He leaves a wife, seven children, one brother, one sister and many other relatives and friends to mourn their loss. The remains were laid to rest in Balcom cemetery.
