Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 11 Jan 1958

Guy P. Mungerson, 68, of 610 Cordelia street, S.W., Grand Rapids, died Saturday
morning at St. Mary’s hospital, Grand Rapids.  A former resident of Ionia, he
lived here until 1919 and prior, had been a ticket agent at the Grand Trunk
railroad depot for 15 years.  He was born July 3, 1889 in Gooding.  After he
left Ionia in 1919, he went to Grand Rapids where he had been a telegraph
operator at Western Union for 38 years.  His wife Alpha preceded him in death in
1944.

Survivors are two sons, Millard O. Mungerson with whom he made his home in Grand
Rapids, and Floyd Monks of Ionia and four grandchildren. 

Funeral service will take place Tuesday morning at 10 o’clock at the Sullivan
funeral home in Grand Rapids and burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery in Ionia.
