Mr. Munn was one of the well known Ionia county pioneers, an old soldier, and came to Michigan after the war with his wife and two children in 186?. He lost a son at the age of 14, and his wife died 16 years ago, after which he made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Carrie Pierce, until seven years ago when he entered the Soldiers home, since which time he was in poor health. Mr. Munn was a good, kind husband and father, a true Christian, asking strangers he would meet if they were living the Christian life being one of his characteristics. He is survived by Mrs. Pierce, his daughter; two grandsons, Ernest Pierce, of Detroit and J. C. Pierce of Lapeer, and a niece, Mrs. Luella Westerman of Battle Creek.
