Ionia Sentinel-Standard - Friday, Oct. 6, 1978

IONIA- Reva Marie Munn, 61, of 631 west Main, died early Friday morning at 
Ionia County Memorial hospital.

She was born in Easton township, May 14, 1917, the daughter od Dey and Nina 
Adams Holcomb. She attended Ionia schools, graduating with the class of 1937 
Ionia High School and also graduated with the class of 1939 Grand Rapids 
College of Beauty Culture. 

She worked at Eva Lyle's beauty shop in Ionia after graduation and married 
Marion V. Munn in Alexandria, Louisiana January 30, 1942.

Mrs. Munn returned to the Ionia area to make her home with Munn was assigned 
overseas with the US Army in World War II. They made their home in Ionia all 
their married life.

Mrs. Munn was employed at Bonnie's Beauty Shop and Charlotte's Beauty Nook.

She was a member of First United Methodist church and the Ionia Rural Child 
Study club.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Victor of San Jose, California and 
Richard, a student at Western Michigan University; three daughters, Mrs. Dennis 
(Susan) Sloan of Linden, Mrs. Russell J. (Marilyn) Knol of Grand Rapids and 
Janice Munn, a student at Western Michigan University; one brother, J.B. 
Holcomb of Ionia; two sisters, Mrs. John (Beulah) Leland of Orleans and Mrs. 
Gerald (Neva) Tingley of Cadillac and one granddaughter.

Services are Monday at 1 pm from the Leddick funeral home with Rev. Carl 
Hausermann officiating.

Burial is in Balcom cemetery.

Memorial funds are established for the American Cancer Society and First United 
Methodist Church.

The family will receive friends and relatives at the funeral home Saturday and 
Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.
