Lake Odessa Times Thursday February 6, 1908

Mrs. R.B.Murdock Dead

The community was shocked to learn that Mrs.R.B.Mudrdock died Tuesday morning 
after a very short illness, at her home southwest of this place, after having 
given birth to a child. Physicians were summoned Sunday night both from Woodland 
and this place but the condition of the badly drifted roads made it impossible 
for them to reach the place although vain attempts were made to get 
through.Mrs.Murdock is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs.O.Cheney of this place. She 
leaves a husband and an eight-year-old daughter. The funeral was held today.

Mrs.Cheney has been quite ill and the shock of her daughter's death was so 
sudden that she was prostrated. She was unable to visit her while she was sick, 
or to attend the funeral. The community at large sympathizes with the bereaved 
families in their sad loss.
