Former Resident Died At Hillman Nov. 1

Mrs. Myrtle Pearson Murphy, 68, died Suddenly at her home in Hillman, Mich., 
Tuesday, Nov. 1. Funeral was held and interment made at Hillman on Thursday 
following. She is survived by her husband, Victor, a daughter, two sons, seven 
grandchildren and two brothers, George in Lansing and Flint in Lake Odessa.

Deceased was born to Lewis F. and Mary Pearson, both now deceased, in Lake 
Odessa in 1892 and attended the local school from which she graduated with the 
class of 1910.

She taught school in Montmorency county for several years and was county 
commissioner of schools of that county for many years.
