A. Murphy, was attended from the residence, East Main street, Monday afternoon, Rev. W. I. Cogshall, of the Methodist church, officiating. Mrs. Brock and Mrs. Thane Benedict sang and the remains were carried to the grave by four cousins, Fred Hawley, Royal Hawley, Jr., William Ware and Homer Kennedy. There were flowers in great profusion, testifying to the high esteem for the bereaved family and sympathy extended by many friends. Relatives and friends from away to attend the funeral were Mr. Millspaugh, of Detroit; Mr. and Mrs. W. Walter Smith, Grand Rapids; Dr. W. A. Dutt, wife and daughter, Belding; Mrs. Marie Kennedy, Mrs. Wilson and Mrs. Russell, of Orleans; Mr. and Mrs. William Loveless, and Mrs. Frank Steele, of Lyons. The interment was in Highland Park cemetery.
