Mrs. Murray had been in poor health for some time and her death had been looked for for weeks. She was one of the pioneers of Danby township, having come there 23 years ago and has since resided there. She was a native of Albany county, N.Y., however, and was married to Samuel Murray in 1848. She united with the M.E. church with 21 years of age and remained a consistent and faithful member up to the time of her death. She was what is, in the broadest sense of the word, a good woman – loyal, loving, and lovable. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Power of the Portland Baptist church on Wednesday last. She leaves three children – Mrs. A. Rice, Danby, Mrs. A. J. Barden, Mason, and ?? of this village. ---- In our article last week concerning the death of Mrs. Murray there were inaccuracies in the data furnished us, which Mrs. Addison Rice, daughter of Mrs. Murray, requests us to correct. Instead of having been married in 1848, as we stated, her parents were married in 1846. Beside the three children mentioned last week there are two sons in Waterbury, Conn., one in Titusville, Pa., and a daughter in Idaho.
