Gordon Murray, 83, of Ionia, passed away April 11, 2010, in Wyoming. He was 
born June 19, 1926, in Saranac. He served in the U.S. Navy and Airforce during 
World War II and the Korean War. 

Gordon worked at Ionia Reformatory, retiring from there after 30 years of 
service. He was a member of the Ionia Moose Lodge and he loved to fish and golf.

Gordon is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Joyce (Kamradt) Murray of 
Ionia; children, Susan Denis of Brenerton, Calif., Jeffrey Murray of Ionia, 
Mary Murray of Ionia and Maureen (Scott) Liberman of Boston, Mass.; brother, 
Junior White of Saranac; sister, Esther Sherwood of Saranac; grandchildren, Amy 
(Tim) Reed, Mark Denis, Eric Denis, Paul Denis, Jason Bowlin and Samuel 
Liberman; great grandchildren, Samantha Denis, Hannah Reed and Jake Reed.

Cremation has taken place and at his request there will be no services.
