Russell L. Mursch Passes Away

Russell L. Mursch, 41, of 11563 Aberdeen N.E. Grand Rapids, passed away suddenly 
Thursday night at Wurzburg's store.

A native of Big Rapids, he was the son of Ralph and Mary (Fuller) Mursch. A 
graduate of the Ferris State College, Grand Rapids and Wayne State University of 
Detroit, he was a licensed mortician, A veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving four 
years in World War 2, A member of the IOOF lodge and former member of the 
American Legion Post at Big Rapids. 

He married Alice L. Sanders, January 4, 1946 at Big Rapids, and they moved to 
Hastings 14 years ago where he was employed at the Leonard Funeral Home and 
Radio Station WBCH, then two years ago went to Grand Rapids and was presently 
employed at the Wurzburg's downtown store. 

Mr. Mursch reposed at the Pickens Funeral Chapel until Monday forenoon then 
taken to the St. Edwards Church, Lake Odessa, where funeral services were held 
Monday at one o'clock. Rev. Fr. Raymond Moeggenberg officiated with burial in 
Riverside cemetery, Hastings.

Surviving are his wife Alice L.; two sons, Manlee of the U>S> Navy, Great Lakes, 
Ill. and Terry at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Mursch of Big Rapids; 
three sisters, Mrs. James Beatrice Starr and Mrs. Ada Arndt of Big Rapids and 
Mrs. Phillip (Arlene) Gibbon of Midland; five brothers, Donald, Ralph Jr., 
William and James, all of Big Rapids and Charles with the U.S. Army in Germany.
