The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Monday, October 12, 1964
Funeral service for Alex Mutch, 88, of 534 Lake Lansing road, East Lansing, 
former resident of Muir, will be conducted at 2:30 Tuesday afternoon at Muir 
Presbyterian church.  He died at 10:40 a.m. Saturday in Sparrow hospital, 
Lansing.  He farmed for many years northeast of Muir.

Surviving are his wife, Viola; one son, James Mutch of Lake Odessa; a 
daughter, Mrs. Malva Baxter of East Lansing, and four grandchildren.  Paul 
Decker of Lansing, Christian Science reader, will officiate and burial will be 
at Muir cemetery.  Bearers will be Ralph Kimball, Bradley Dinehart, Kenneth 
Ludwick, Russell Fletcher and James Struble of Muir, and Levi Conklin of St. 
Johns.
