Jan. 17, 2019 JANET WALTER MUTSCHLER, 90 Janet Walter Mutschler, age 90, passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 14, 2019. Janet was born January 7, 1929 at home in Boston Township to Leah (Ayers) and Jay C. Walter. She married Lyle Mutschler on January 24 1948. Janet was a proud farm wife, working the farm with Lyle. She kept the books, milked the cows, worked the fields, and gardened, all while raising 10 children. She was also an active member of Galilee Baptist church. She served in many roles, including teaching Sunday School and Awana, serving on the Missionary Committee, and the ladies' Missionary Society. Janet had many hobbies. She loved to bake and made amazing pies, donuts, cookies, cakes, and bread. Her flower garden was beautiful and her vegetable garden fed everyone she knew. She made quilts for all of her children and grandchildren, even finishing some for future graduation presents. Janet is survived by her children Ruth (Andres) Bravo, Barbara (John) Frank, Dennis (Wanda) Mutschler, Nancy Mutschler, David Mutschler, Sally (John Gussenbauer) Mutschler, Joel (Andrea) Mutschler, Carol (Andres) Kok, Lizbeth (John) Deindorfer, and Jess (Robin) Mutschler; 29 grandchildren and 24 great- grandchildren; her sister Patsy Page; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Lyle, Her parent Leah and Jay, her brother Robert, and sisters Wave, Doris, Harriett, and Sue. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Galilee Baptist Church with Pastor Andy Mooren officiating. A luncheon will follow immediately after the service. Interment will be at Saranac Cemetery Visitation will be held Friday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Lake Funeral Home in Saranac. Anyone wishing may make memorial contributions to Galilee Baptist church.
