Funeral at Weslyan church, Jan. 25, Rev. Lindsly officiating. Amelia Drop was born in Germany, Oct. 5, 1823. She came to Buffalo, N.Y. with her parents when 22 years old, living there until her marriage in 1848, to Christopher Myers. To this union was born seven children, three dying in infancy. Her husband passed away April 26, 1890. They came to Michigan to live two years before his death. She united with the German Lutheran church while in her youth. She was a good Christian, leaving four children, Mrs. Barbara Bennett, of Ionia township, Jacob Myers, of Buffalo, N.Y., Mrs. Anna Bennett, of Berlin township, and Fred J. Myers, of Tonawanda, N.Y., to mourn the loss of a good mother.
