Her early life was spent in Fairplain, Montcalm Co., where she was a teacher in the public schools. At the age of nineteen years, she was converted and untied with the Methodist church under the pastorate of Rev. Wm .Judd, becoming an active worker in the Epworth League and a member of the church choir. On December 30, 1903, she was united in marriage to William J. Myers, of Ionia, and thereafter resided on their farm near Ionia, excepting fifteen months which were spent in California and other Western states. Her health was never firm, but she was always cheerful, trials and suffering drawing her ever closer to God, whom she trusted as a child trusts a loving parent. She grew in grace until the last, and when the end came she was ready. Since for her to live was Christ, to die was gain. She leaves to mourn her death a husband, an aged mother, Mrs. Harriet E. Scott of Miller, Mich., four sisters, one brother and a host of loving friends and relatives. Rev. M. M. Callen, pastor of the M.E. church, Ionia, conducted the funeral service from the home, where a large and sympathetic concourse of friends and relatives had gathered, and she was laid to rest in Orleans cemetery.
