Ionia Sentinel, 15 May 1902

Emily D., wife of Wm. H. Myers, of Nickel Plate, died Thursday evening after an
illness of some time.  She had been seriously ill about two weeks; was 70 years
of age.  Besides her husband she leaves five daughters, Mrs. John Rowe, and Mrs.
Irving Waterbury, of Ionia, Mrs. Smith, of Cleveland, Mrs. Nancy Hart, of
Detroit, and Mrs. Hattie Hair, of Saginaw, also one son, Frank Myers, of
Crystal.  She was a woman of culture and rare attainments, loved by the
community.  Funeral at 12:30 Sunday, at Nickel Plate church.

[Transcriber’s note:  There is a notation on the obituary card that she was
buried in North Plains Cemetery.]
