Myers, 70, of Belding, passed away Friday, Sept. 16, 2005, at his home under the loving care of his family and Hospice. Darwin was born Nov. 8, 1934, in Greenville, the son of Elmer and Dora Cogswell Myers. He attended Greenville Public Schools and retired from Electrolux Home Products after 32 years of service. He enjoyed working on cars and had a large collection of guns and old model cars, his favorite model being the Fords. Darwin was preceded in death by his parents; ex-wife, Delores Myers; wife, Joan Myers; and daughter, Kathy Waldorf. He is survived by his fiancée, Adelene Wireman of Belding; children, Deborah and Michael Patterson of Grand Rapids, Victoria and Shane Murphy of Palm Bay, Fla., Cindy and Kim Ritter of Stanton; Adeline’s children, Lizzie and David Enbody of Belding, Bernice and James O’Hearon of California, Bruce Wireman of Michigan, Lisa and Michael Westendorp of Grand Rapids, Brian Wireman of Belding, Brandon Wireman of Greenville, Susan Wireman of Belding; stepchildren, Denise Anderson of Gowen, Rocky and Wanda Foote of Sheridan; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; step-grandchildren, Wayne and Alan Sowles of Gowen, Charlene Foote of Sheridan; and brothers and sister-in-law, Duane and Wilma Myers of Greenville, Gary and Joy Meyers of South Carolina, Curt and Linda Myers of Sidney. Funeral services were Tuesday at Shiloh Community Church, with Pastor Ken Harger officiating. Interment is in Rest Haven Memory Gardens, Belding. Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding, is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be given to Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
