Sentinel-Std. - Monday, Feb. 4, 1985

SARANAC- Robert Myers, 45, of 345 Parsonage Street, Saranac, died in 
Metropolitan Hospital, Grand Rapids, Friday.

Born in Saranac on Nov. 24, 1939, he was the son of Sheldon and Freda Sparks 
Myers and had been an assemblyman at Fisher Body in Lansing for the past 17 
years. 

He was a member of the Saranac VFW post in Portland and had been active with 
Saranac youth league baseball. 

He was married to Jane Winslow June 10, 1964; she survives.

Also surviving are a son, Robert Kurt, at home; a daughter, Karen Sue Myers of 
Saranac; five sisters, Mrs. Harold (Ione) Tant of Lansing; Mrs. Donald (Lois) 
Heaven of Saranac; Lorna Vickers of Jackson; Mrs. Daniel (Brenda) Bush of 
Lansing and Sherri Myers of Saranac and many nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Galilee Baptist church, Saranac, 
with the Rev. Keith McIver officiating.

Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Ionia.

The family will be at the Lake Funeral Home Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 
8:30 p.m.

A memorial has been established for the Saranac Athletic Department.
