Ionia Sentinel Standard, 10 Feb 1951

Mrs. Franc D. C. Myers, 90, a resident of Owosso for the past 40 years, died Sunday
at 5:30 p.m. at her home of injuries received in a fall at her home January 19. 
Services were held Wednesday in Owosso with interment in White chapel in Royal Oak.

She was born May 15, 1860, in Bushnell township, daughter of Jared and Mary Ellen
Comstock.  She was a graduate of Ionia high school and taught school in Ionia and
Osceola counties.  Her husband died 23 years ago.  She was the sister of the late
George Comstock, former Ionia rural mailcarrier.

She was a past worthy matron of chapter No. 9, O.E.S., a life member of Abigail
chapter, O.E.S., a member of the Star of Hope chapter, Rebekah lodge and a member of
the Women’s club.

Surviving are three daughters, Grace Ethel Myers and Mrs. Joel H. Murphy of Owosso
and Mrs. Sydney P. Cook of Ann Arbor; two half-brothers; one half-sister; three
grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.  A brother and a sister preceded her in
death.
