Sentinel-Std. - Friday, Aug. 26, 1949

Elsie E. Myersahm died unexpectedly at St. Mary's hospital in Grand Rapids 
Thursday morning at 9:45 a.m. She had entered St. Mary's hospital Tuesday and 
had undergone major surgery.

She was born March 2, 1889, and was for many years a resident of Ionia and 
Saranac. She was formerly employed as an attendant at the Ionia State hospital 
and had acted as housekeeper for Michael Eagen of South Ionia for some time 
previous to her death.

She is survived by four brothers; Gus Berndt of Boyne City, Harmon of Wayman, 
Hiram of Lake Odessa and Henry also of Lake Odessa. One sister, Mrs. Anna 
Riggles of Saranac also survives. The body reposes at the home of a niece, Mr. 
and Mrs. Corwin Cahoon of Easton Township. Funeral services will be Saturday 
afternoon at 2:30 from the Morris funeral home in Saranac. Burial will be in 
Greenwood cemetery, Grand Rapids.
