Lansing State Journal, Aug. 17, 1963
Portland - Edward L. Nahrgang, 69, died Friday in the Veteran's Facility, 
Grand Rapids.  He was a former resident of Portland.  A sister, Mrs. Rose Pohl 
of Portland survives.  Rosary services will be held Sunday at 8 p.m. at the 
Neller Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held Monday at 9:30 a.m. in St. 
Patrick's Catholic Church.  Burial will be at the Portland Cemetery. Dale 
Hyland Post No. 129, American Legion, will have charge of the military rites.

Additional Comments:
Edward was born in Westphalia, MI on Aug 27, 1893. He was the son of Anna 
Elizabeth Schwab Nahrgang and Christopher Nahrgang.
He was a veteran of World War 1.
