Nash, 68, of Billings, Mont., formerly of Ionia, passed away Tuesday, June 8, 1999. He was born in Ionia on Nov. 11, 1930 to parents Edgar and Nettie Nash. After graduating from Michigan State university as a doctor of veterinary medicine, Nash worked for the Department of Agriculture until he retired in 1997. Surviving are: three brothers, Howard (Josephine) Nash and Forrest (Elaine) Hash, both of Ionia and Gordon (Beverley) Nash of Lake Toxaway, NC; one sister, Greta (Clark) Parsons of Lowell; one sister-in-law, Luella Nash of Ionia and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Vivian Nash and one brother, Raymond Nash. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 14 at LeValley United Methodist Church with Rev. David Flagel officiating. The organist will be Janet Croel. Burial will be in Balcom Cemetery. Visiting hours will be at the Rich St. Chapel of Cook Funeral Home in downtown Ionia on Saturday from 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the LeValley United Methodist Church Memorial Fund or the American Diabetes Association in care of the funeral home.
