Nash apparently fell from the tractor while it was running and the machine struck a fence and stalled. He was found by his nephew, Douglas Jenks, Belding, who was summoned to the farm by Mrs. Nash. She had become concerned when Nash failed to return to the farmhouse at 5 p.m. as expected. Coroner Wallace Jackson, Ionia, said Nash had died of a heart attack about five hours before he was found. Nash had been a resident of this area all his life, having been born in Kent county and living on the farm for 46 years. He was a member of the Ashley Baptist Church, Grattan Masonic Lodge, the Colombian Club, the Merry Makers Club, and the Venus Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star. He is survived by his wife, Lora, a daughter, Mrs. William Holt, Lansing, two brothers, Claude, East Lansing, and John, Belding, and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. in the Ellis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Henry Zull officiating. Burial will be in Otisco cemetery.
