Florence was born July 15, 1910, in Cedar Springs, the daughter of Elbert and Lida Woodworth Tower. Florence attended the University of Michigan and later graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in library science. She was a member of Green Corners Baptist Church and the Ladies Literary Society of Belding. Florence was a kind, Christian woman who will be greatly missed by her family, church family and friends. She was married on Dec. 29, 1942, in Saginaw, to Robert Nason, her loving husband of nearly 64 years. Florence was preceded in death by her parents and brother, John Tower. She is survived by her husband, Robert; their daughter, Betsie Russell of Sheridan; grandson, Shawn Russell of Fort Myers, Fla.; and sister-in-law, Gracia Tower of Jenison. Funeral services are 1 p.m. Tuesday at Green Corners Baptist Church with her pastor, Paul Leslie, officiating. Interment will follow in Greene Cemetery. Visitation is from 1 to 4 p.m. today at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding. Memorial contributions may be given to Prison Fellowship, a program which brings the gospel to those in prison.
