Lake Odessa Wave & Times - May 19, 1922
   MRS. JAMES NEAD
   Sarah Jane Letts was born Sept. 9, 1853 in Berlin, Ionia Co., Mich., and died at
her home in Sunfield 
township May 12, 1922, at the age of 68 years and 8 months.
   She was one of a family of fourteen children, one of whom survives Thos. E.
Letts, of Portland, Oregon.
   Dec. 31, 1873 she was united in marriage to Fredrick L. Brown of Ionia, Mich.,
and to this union were born 
three children.  Her early married life was spent in Ovid, Mich., where she leaves a
host of friends.
   In 1903 she moved to Lake Odessa where she united with the Congregational church
of that place.
   In February of 1906 she was united in marriage to James A. Nead of Sunfield,
Michigan., where they resided 
at their farm home until the time of her death.
   Mrs. Nead had been in poor health for some time but her death came as a great
shock to her family.  She 
leaves to mourn their loss a kind husband, two daughters, Mrs. Emma Hyslop of Ovid,
Mrs. Mabelle Lathrop of 
Grand Rapids, Mich., and two grandchildren, Robert and Marion Hyslop of Ovid, Mich.,
several near relatives 
and a host of loving friends and neighbors.
