Ionia Sentinel Standard, 1996

Lake Odessa - Marvel A. Neeb, age 84, of Lake Odessa, passed away Saturday, 
October 5, 1996 at Blodgett Hospital.

He was born June 26, 1912 in Campbell Township, the son of William and Erna 
(Shepard) Neeb.  He graduated from Clarksville High School in 1930 and was 
married to Carol Thomas May 1, 1964 in Hastings.  He lived and farmed in the 
Clarksville area several years.  He also worked several years as a maintenance 
electrician for the E.W. Bliss Company in Hastings and the Motor Wheel 
Corporation in Lansing retiring in 1977.  He also was a self-employed 
Electrical Contractor.  He was a member and Past Master of the Lakeside Grange 
State Grange and the National Grange for 45 years.

He is survived by his wife, Carol; three daughters, Sue (Alan) Smith of 
Hastings, Evonne (Toby) Livingston of Pensacola, Florida, Isle (Billy) Smith of 
Hastings; 14 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, October 8, 1996 at 1:00 p.m. at the 
Koops Funeral Chapel, Clarksville with the Reverend George Speas officiating.  
Interment will be at Clarksville Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made 
to the Lakewood Community Ambulance or Helping Hands Hospice.
