Ethel Neeb, 79, of Lake Odessa died Thursday morning in Pennock Hospital,
Hastings.  Born May 15, 1907, in Carlton Township, Barry County, she was the
daughter of William and Emma Wait Allerding.  She attended Brown rural school
and Hastings High School and was married to Ray Neeb Aug. 11, 1927, in Hastings.
 He survives.

She was employed for 10 years at the Barry County Medical Facility and with her
husband operated Neeb Food Lockers in Lake Odessa for 13 years.  She was a
member of the Lake Odessa Christian Reformed Church and the West Odessa
Missionary Society.

Surviving in addition to her husband are a son, Louis Neeb of Lake Odessa; Mrs.
Leon (Gloria) Sutherland of Woodland; seven grandchildren; seven great
grandchildren; and a twin sister Edith Smelker.  Two brothers and two sisters
preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. from the Koops Funeral Chapel, Lake
Odessa, with Rev. Ben Ridder officiating.  Burial will be in Woodland Memorial
Park.  The family will be at the Lake Odessa funeral chapel Saturday from 7 to 9
p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 8 to 9 p.m.
