Jan. 15, 1953 CLARKSVILLE WOMAN DIED UNEXPECTEDLY Mrs. Edith Neeb, 77, of Clarksville was found dead in bed at her home in Clarksville Friday by neighbors. She failed to respond to their phone calls and knocks and was not seen around the house since Thursday night, they investigated. Coroner Dale Kauffman of Ionia said death was caused from a heart attack suffered during the night. She was the daughter of Thomas and Lucinda Sparks and her father was a former Ionia County Treasurer and was associated with the county office from 1900 to 1916. Her husband John, a carpenter died seven years ago last month and they had celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in March 1945. Surviving are five daughters Mrs. Beatrice Kreger of Grand Rapids, Mrs. Ethel Birman of Clarksville, Mrs. Frank (Gertrude) Chorley of Lake Odessa, Mrs. Wilbert (Lucinda) Glanville of Staffa, Ont., and Mrs. Donald (Frances) Miller of Grand Ledge; one son Wilbur of Lake Odessa; a twin sister Mrs. Seymour Heaven of Clarksville; 21 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday at 2 at the Wesleyan Methodist Church at Clarksville with burial in Clarksville cemetery, Rev. Berton Mick officiated, assisted by a former pastor Rev.
