Ionia Daily Sentinel – 12 March 1912
Mrs. Henry Neilson died this morning suddenly at her home in Ronald being found 
dead in bed by her husband when he tried to administer medicine to her.  Mrs. 
Neilson has been ill for several months with chronic heart trouble and her 
death was unexpected and yet not unlooked for.  She was 46 years of age and a 
daughter of Orson VanGeisen of Orleans.  She was married to Henry Neilson Jan. 
29, 1890 and leaves one son, Orson, 20 years of age.  Death came this morning 
at 4:30 o’clock at the home eight miles north of the city.



Mrs. Neilson’s death is the first to break into the circle of the children of 
Mr. and Mrs. Orson VanGeisen, there being five sisters and two brothers still 
living.  The funeral will be held from the Grange hall Friday morning at ten 
o’clock burial in Orleans cemetery.
