The Ionia County News, Thursday, December 21, 1944


Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Methodist church for Myrtle 
Carpenter Neilson, who passed away at the Ionia Memorial Hospital, Thursday, 
following an emergency operation the previous Sunday.

Born and raised near here where she grew to womanhood, she spent her whole 
life in Ionia county.  For many years she was active in the Methodist church, 
of which she was a faithful member.  Her husband, Henry Neilson, passed away 
several years ago.

Left to mourn their loss are two brothers and one sister, besides several 
nieces and nephews.  Services were conducted by Rev. Lewis Herrick and burial 
was in Palo cemetery.
