Neller, 79, of 723 Riverside drive, Portland died Sunday at Ionia Manor. He was born May 19, 1889 at DeWitt. A member of Portland Methodist church, he was also a life member of Portland lodge F&AM. He was a graduate of the Cincinnati college of embalming in 1919 and a funeral director 49 years. He later moved to Lansing where he was Ingham county coroner and in 1932 came to Portland where he had lived since. He was retired in 1945 when his son Harvey bought the business. Surviving are his wife Rev. Blanche Neller, son Harvey G. of Portland; two grandchildren and three great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Rachel Bascom of Detroit; three brothers, Earl Neller of St. Louis, Mo., Fenton of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. and Elton of Akron, Ohio. Funeral services will be conducted at Neller funeral home in Portland Wednesday at 2 p.m. Rev. Raymond Norton and Rev. Carl Noffsinger will officiate and burial will be at Portland cemetery. Bearers will be Sam Burman, C.J. Hill, Douglas E. Candler, Harold Bourgois, Fred Rowe, Jr., and Robert Hibee.
