Ross Winters Nelsen, 87, of Sheridan died Tuesday, December 23, 2003 at 
Sheridan Community Hospital.  He was born in Fenwick, the son of Einer and Lida 
Winters Nelsen, on May 15, 1916.

He was married to Leona B. Wininger in Palo on May 9, 1942.  Ross was employed 
at Federal Mogul Corporation in Greenville for 32 years and was a veteran of 
the U.S. Army in World War II.  

He was preceded in death by his wife, Leona B. Wininger, on January 20, 2000.  
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Stuart and Sharyn Nelsen of 
Wayne; grandson, James and LeAnn Nelson of Howell; brother, Roger and Betty 
Nelsen of Hastings; cousins; and nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services are 1 p.m. Saturday, December 27 at Hurst Funeral Home, with 
Rev. Jim Wilcox officiating.  Burial is in Little Denmark Cemetery, Gowen.  
Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
