Margarita L. (Margaret) Nelson, 88, of Ionia died the morning of Wednesday Aug.
16 at Ionia County Memorial Hospital.  She was born April 22, 1907 in Mancelona,
the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Miller.  She moved to Ionia as a child.  She
was educated in Ionia schools and married Harry Nelson.  She worked at the A.C.
Spark Plug during World War II.

Surviving are one son Earl (Joan) Nelson, of Ionia; two grandchildren: Denise
(Ken) Peabody and Michael (Roxanne) Nelson; and two great-grandchildren:
Kimberly and Kevin Peabody, of Ionia.  She was preceded in death by her parents,
her husband and several sisters.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Cook Funeral Home,
Rich Street Chapel, with Rev. Kendall Harger of Shiloh Community Church
officiating.  Private family interment will be at Easton Cemetery.  Visitation
will be at the time of the service.  Memorials may be made to Ionia County
Memorial Home Care.
