Clarksville Resident Passes Away

Mrs. Elizabeth Nelson, 94, of Clarksville, passed away about midnight Saturday 
at St. Lawrence hospital, where she had been a patient for about ten days. She 
fell while residing at the Walters Nursing Home near Portland and fractured her 
hip.

A native of Campbell township, she was the daughter of Norman and Sarah 
Champlin.

Surviving are her son, J.P. Nelson of Urbana, Illinois; a grandson, Norman of 
Florida; a niece, Mrs. Lewis (Neva) Cool of Grand Ledge and a brother, Alfred N. 
Champlin of Ionia.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday at the Beattie Funeral Home at Clarksville 
with Rev. Don Mathis of the Clarksville Bible church officiating. Burial in the 
Clarksville cemetery.
