The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Thursday, February 7, 1946
Mrs. Esther Irene Nelson, of Grand Rapids, formerly of Keene township, died 
Wednesday, February 6 at the Ionia County Memorial hospital.  She is survived 
by her husband, Miles Nelson; two sons, Miles Jr., and Dwayne; her parents, 
Mr. and Mrs. John Brown and one sister, Mrs. Pauline Beukema, of Lyons.

She was born March 27, 1905 in Keene township.  She attended business college 
in Grand Rapids and had worked for two years for the state revenue office in 
Grand Rapids until she was taken ill in October 1945.

Funeral services will be held from the Morris funeral home Sunday at 1:30 
o’clock.  Interment will be at the Saranac cemetery.
